Tuzla International Airport (TZL) is the second busiest airport in Bosnia, located 15 km from Tuzla, third largest city, and 113 km from the capital, Sarajevo.
Although very modest airport became popular over the last years since low-cost airline Wizzair introduced regular flights to over 15 European destinations. This attracted more than 500,000 passengers per year.
Passengers still use the old terminal with very basic infrastructure, including one cafe with snacks. The terminal is very small, and hosts no more than 10 flights per day. Therefore, do not be afraid that you are late, it is more than enough to arrive one hour before departure of your flight. There is no free WiFi for passengers at the airport.
Important note: Remember to check-in online, because checking in at the airport is expensive!
Transfers to and from Tuzla International Airport:
There is no public transportation from / to Tuzla Airport. Passengers can use own cars, taxi, rent a car, or shuttle door to door transfers offered by Balkan Transfer. Buses are available from Zivinice or Tuzla, and the only way to get there is by taxi which is often unreasonably expensive. Therefore, passengers who need to get to or from Sarajevo recognized our shuttle transfers as the best option.
